UIL Computer Science

I pioneered our school's competitive Computer Science team, and the first year we made it to regional competitions where we were highly competitive.  I was crowned District Champion during competition. Teaching my team mates along the way helped solidify my understanding of programmatic concepts from another perspective.

I participated in the school's competitive mathematics team in calculator applications, number sense, and mathematical knowledge.  I competed at district and regional levels culminating in hours of study and research on techniques for testing and manipulating numbers mentally.
